Solid 4 stars...

With flawed characters that are too good looking for their own good and an explosive chemistry between them does make for a pretty good read. While the tension between Cara and Mike being quite thick, I appreciated the way the story revealed layers of these two. With Mike's strong belief he is cut from the same cloth as his biological father (running when things go too serious), and Cara's fear of pain (of course, stemmed from her mother choosing to remain in an abusive relationship), we get to see how two people in different situations fully understand each other's needs and manage to have their HEA.

While the writing was smooth, I felt that there were areas that fell short or dragged on far too long in my opinion. The depth of feeling was kept in the shadows and that is what lost that one star to make it a solid 5 stars to me. No complaints, though. I did like the book. There was some drama, a little suspense, and it was all nicely wrapped up with a bow at the end. While I still have some questions about the need to dig in a cold case, I can see that this was the catalyst that pinned these two together and not the basis of the story.

I did learn that this is only part of a series, but after reading this book.... You can rest assured that they are stand alone books. I do look forward to reading the others in the series. Especially the next one due to come out called.... Perfect Fling. The excerpt that was shared at the end of the book really peaked my interest on how that story unfolds.

Great read. Loved Mike even though he had commitment issues. He was up front about it. Cara is a sweetie. Loved her understanding of Mike's issues. Liked all of the secondary characters also. Well worth reading and yes there is steam.
I adore Carly Phillips... of her entire collection there were only a few books that I wasn't crazy about. The entire Serendipity series does not disappoint. I like how she is moving into new characters in the town- and checks in on other couples from past books without it overwhelming the entire plot line of the book.
Although I think I have read and enjoyed everything Carly has written, I must say with Perfect Fit, she has really hit another level. I adored her characters of Mike and Cara. I don't usually go over plot summary because there are so many ways to read those, but just want to say, if you haven't read a Carly Phillips book, this is a great one to start with.
This is my 4th book in the serendipity series.. still not loving the series but this book was better than the last 2. I'm hoping the remaining books are better because I really do love Carly PHILLIPS books... this book was ok.. the main highlight was the suspense and action that were in the book
If you haven't read a Carly Phillips book you're missing out. I loved Perfect Fit. This is one of my favorite Carly Phillips books. Mike and Cara are perfect together. Mike is super sexy and a perfect Alpha male. Carly is one of the best at writing Alpha characters. I also loved the whole interaction with the Marsden family.You will not be disappointed if you read this book.
This is my first book by this author and it will not be my last! I love this story. Micheal and Cara had me from the beginning. This story was an emotional rollor coaster for me. By the end of the book I just wanted to curl up in a corner and sob with job. Thank you Carly Phillips for writing such a beautiful story. Now I'm off to buy the first book in Serendipity series.
I have read all of Carly Phillips books and loved them all, including this one as well. I have relatives that are in law enforcement and Carly knows how to accurately portray male cops. The way Mike deals with the issues he has faced through his life and how he handles the progression of his relationship and the feelings he has for Cara rings true. She has the ability to get you to have a deep and vested interest in the lives of all of her characters and she has done it once more with Mike& and Cara. While reading this, I not only wanted them to be able to overcome their issues with being a couple, I also was rooting for Mike to overcome his problem with being in the same place and sticking with one woman for the long-haul. And even though Cara is deeply in love with Mike, she has the strength to not settle for anything less than everything. Things in the real world may not work out like they do in romance novels but, Oh! how I wish that they could turn out a little bit like a Carly Phillips novel. Awesome book. You'll love it. Don't hesitate, buy it now!!
